State Senator Mark Baisley serves the 4th Senate District of Colorado, which includes Douglas and Teller counties.
He has a 40-year career in information technology in aerospace, defense, education, and financial services, and currently serves as president of Slipglass Inc., an engineering software firm.
Mark was founding president of the board of the STEM School and Academy in Highlands Ranch (2008 to 10), chairman of the Colorado Space Business Roundtable (2001-02), member of the Columbia College Board of Trustees (2001-15), board member of the Littleton Public Schools Foundation (2002-06), and board member of the Community College of Aurora Foundation (2005-06).
Mark earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Columbia College with majors in Computer Information Systems and Business Administration and received the 1998 Professional Achievement Award from his alma mater.
Mark has served as vice chairman (2009) and chairman (2010-13) of the Douglas County Republican Party, vice chairman of the Colorado Republican Committee (2013-15), chairman of Bylaws Committee for Colorado Republican Committee (2015-17), and chairman of the Colorado Republican Finance Committee (2002). He graduated from the Republican Leadership Program in 1996, and served on the Election Reform Commission, appointed by Colorado House Minority Leader Mike May. He was appointed to several other service committees by Colorado Gov. Bill Owens, Colorado State Sen. John Evans, and May.
Mark is a frequent guest and guest host on conservative talk radio in Denver, and published over 200 articles through Townhall.com on the defense of America’s founding principles
Mark has been married 40 years to high school sweetheart, Maryann, and is the proud father of four and grandfather of seven. He was born in Hastings, Minnesota in 1955, and born again in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, in 1969.
